CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OUR CLIENTS AND STAFF

 

As you are already aware, there is ongoing concern about the spread of COVID-19 which was declared a worldwide pandemic in March 2020 by the World Health Organisation. 


We understand many of you will be anxious and concerned about your personal wellbeing and getting the supports you need. However, you may find there will be unavoidable changes to some of your supports and services.

This may mean that:

  • A different support worker may deliver your supports and services;

  • Some supports and services may need to change or be temporarily postponed;

 

If you are showing signs of Fever or chills, Acute respiratory symptoms such as cough, sore throat or shortness of breath, headache, aching muscles, runny or stuffy nose, loss of smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

  • Support Workers must not attend rostered shifts;

  • Clients should seek further advice through the office or their family supports.

How is Morcare responding to this pandemic?

We have developed COVID-19 preparedness and response plans which will assist to minimise the risk of further disease transmission between our staff and clients whilst maintaining business continuity.

We are undertaking activities to minimise the disruption to services and spread of infection during this outbreak and as such:

  • We will remain up-to-date and monitor COVID-19 information that may affect clients or staff;

  • The Leadership Team will convey information as it becomes available;

  • We will keep all of our stakeholders such as the NDIS, TAC and the Aged Care Commission informed of instances where service disruption is likely or has occurred because of circumstances beyond our control.

  • Call your GP clinic for further advice;
